Gauging Interest
Welcome to RefreshColumbia. We’re glad you’ve stopped by. To get the proverbial ball rolling, we need to know how many people are interested in being a part of a Refresh community. Please leave a comment on this post if you’d be interested in attending a monthly refresh meetup. While you’re doing so, feel free to introduce yourself.
Also, if you have a preference about what day we should meet, please leave a comment on the monthly meeting post.

Holla, Refresh Cola! I'm a designer, but not cool enough to dream in xhtml 1.0 strict.. Those must be some interesting dreams there, Jason :P
I'm very excited about RefreshColumbia and looking forward to meeting all the talented designers and developers in Cola. Word.
Ditto. I'm looking forward to getting together with some like-minded people. Thanks to Jason for finally getting the ball rolling on this.
Hello. James Miller, here. I am a designer. I love design. I'm really looking forward to meeting other designers who work with the web.
Hi I'm Tim. I am an IT professional, currently going to USC as a media arts student. I've had some exposure to web design and I can pick through HTML fairly easily, however I'm looking to meet new people and getting more involved in web designing and other media related applications.
Hey all. I'm Justin Lilly, web developer/designer working for The State newspaper. I attended USC and studied a mix of computers / business and now take design classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (online). I prefer to program in python/django, though I worked with PHP for 8-10 years.
I write semantic HTML (typically 4.01 strict). I like working with 960.gs CSS framework. Templating systems rock my world. I abhor Dreamweaver and don't "get" Fireworks. I use Photoshop everyday and Illustrator every chance I get. I like Open Source, but I'm not a freak about it.
Look forward to meeting you all.
What's up everybody, I'm Chip Oglesby and I'm a online producer at the State Newspaper.
I started here in 2006 and I have my undergrad from Mars Hill College, it's in Asheville NC.
I was a photojournalist before joining the state newspaper.
Currently, I'm doing a lot of interactive coding using AS2 and some AS3 (because of software constraints).
Hope everyone has a great week!
"Hello. My name is Kris and I'm a weboholic."
(Everybody responds, "Hi, Kris!")
It's been 10 years since I've hand-coded my first Web site. I'm the art and photography director at the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control and serve as a sparadic back-up to our Webmaster.
I'm a family man, married with a 4-year-old princess and 7-week-old prince. I collect comics, record a comic book podcast with my buddies (www.thedollarbin.net), provide lettering and design services to comic book industry professionals and love working with and reading about all things Mac.
Basically, I'm a cool, geeky fanboy in a couple areas. WordPress is cool, Squarespace is cooler. I love the color gray and I'm actively building a collection of comic book t-shirts. I carry a Moleskine (like who doesn't in our industry), tried every concieveable GTD system and app, but recently got turned on to Behance and their Creative Outfitter line of products.
That's all I can think of at the moment. I look forward to meeting everyone.
Hi, my name is Matthew, and I enjoy doing neat things with computers. I'm currently learning Ruby. My latest fascination is making twitterbots because I like the idea of text message interfaces.
