Immersive Flash Rubies
Welcome back boys and girls! I’m sure you received lots of toys and have had plenty of eggnog since we last met, but it’s time to get back to refreshing Columbia. This month’s meetup will be on Wednesday, January 28th in room 329 of the McMaster College at USC.
Our topics this month highlight the shear breadth of the web industry and should provide an exclusive look into 3 distinct specializations:
Immersive Imaging
Don Barth – USC Digital Arts professor
Professor Barth will give us a short overview of his process of photographic based immersive imaging. The hardware and software he uses will be included in the overview.
Text Layout Framework Beta
Greg Lunn – Columbia Adobe User Group
Greg will be giving a short intro to the new text format options available in the Flash player.
Ruby AND Rails
Jason Dew – Columbia Ruby Brigade
Jason will be talking about Ruby (The Language) and Rails and the future of these two technologies.
