August 2009 Meetup

With topics like version control and iPhone development, we’re aware that we might scare off some our non-coding members this month. August means “back to school” though and for those of us working in the industry, it’s time to sharpen our minds and broaden our skill sets. Let’s all dive into these geektacular topics and get our learn on.

Those of you who attended ConvergeSC may have met Jim Rubenstein at the Startlike-sponsored after party. He’ll will be introducing us to Git and Subversion, and explaining how the Startlike team uses these tools to avoid catastrophic code collisions.

iPhone Dev with MapKit

Dayton is one a founding member of the local iPhone developer group and recently launched an app called Geek Search. He’ll be giving us an introduction to iPhone development using Apple’s MapKit framework.
